With the objective of giving students a first-hand experience of banking, a Mock Bank was set up within the school premises. The initiative aimed to bridge the gap between theory and practice by offering students a glimpse into the real-world functioning of a bank
Students enthusiastically took on various rolesβbank tellers, clerks, and customersβand operated the counters themselves. Under the guidance of teachers, they learned essential banking procedures such as writing cheques, filling out withdrawal and deposit forms, and understanding basic banking terminology.
This practical exercise not only enhanced their knowledge of everyday financial tasks but also instilled a sense of responsibility, teamwork, and confidence. The mock bank served as an innovative and engaging platform to introduce students to the fundamentals of financial literacy in a fun, experiential way.
